Refrigeration Insulation

Refrigeration refers to the cooling portion of a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system. Insulation is essential to help maintain temperature, minimize energy loss, and control condensation. When piping and equipment operate at temperatures lower than the ambient air, moisture in the air will condense or freeze on or within the insulation surface – or on the cold pipe surface. Unless the system is protected by sufficient thickness and by adequate vapor retarders, the insulation can become wet, causing corrosion, mold, or the insulation to become ineffective. When installing thermal insulation on refrigeration systems, we meet exact specifications for application the insulation material and the construction of the vapor barrier system.
